Wi-Fi 6E (6GHz Spectrum)

Category: infrastructure

An extension of the Wi-Fi 6 standard that unlocks exclusive access to the uncrowded 6GHz wireless frequency band.

Wi-Fi 6E solves the "neighborhood congestion" problem. While traditional 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands are saturated with baby monitors, older laptops, and neighbor routers, the 6GHz spectrum provides massive, super-wide data channels with near-zero signal interference patterns.

Common Examples

  • Upgrading the central office to Wi-Fi 6E allowed our local development laptops to sync data without local wireless interference.
  • Ensure your device hardware explicitly supports Wi-Fi 6E to leverage the high-velocity speeds of the new 6GHz channel layer.
