Unsupervised Learning

Category: science

An ML technique that finds hidden patterns or intrinsic structures in unlabeled data.

There is no "answer key." You feed the model raw customer transaction data, and it discovers its own groupings—like identifying "high-value luxury shoppers" vs "budget-conscious bargain hunters" without you telling it what those segments are in advance.

Common Examples

  • Our marketing team uses unsupervised learning to uncover latent behavioral segments in our insurance lead-gen pipeline.
  • Unsupervised learning is powerful for exploratory analysis when you don't have a predefined objective or target variable.
