A restoration process using high-frequency sound waves in a chemical bath to strip corrosion off water-damaged electronics.

When water hits a powered board, it causes rapid electrolysis, leaving behind a crust of conductive copper carbonate salts that short out components. An ultrasonic cleaner creates millions of microscopic cavitation bubbles that implode against the board, blasting away corrosion from underneath tight chips.

  • We stripped the water-damaged MacBook logic board and ran it through a 99% isopropyl alcohol ultrasonic cleaning cycle.
