Tankless Water Heater
Category: infrastructure
An on-demand water heating system that heats water directly through high-output burners without using a storage tank.
When a hot water tap is opened, cold water flows into the tankless unit through a sensor array. A high-input gas burner or electric element instantly heats the water to its target configuration temperature, providing a continuous supply while eliminating standby energy loss.
Common Examples
- Upgrading the house to a gas-fired tankless water heater freed up valuable floor layout space inside the utility closet.
- A tankless water heater requires annual flushing with vinegar to clean out mineral scale scale accumulations along the copper heat exchanger heat bays.
