Secondary Airport
Category: aviation
Smaller, less congested airports that often serve as cheaper or more convenient alternatives to major international hubs.
Private jet owners prefer secondary airports because they are closer to city centers, avoid commercial congestion, and have much lower landing fees. A jet might land at Teterboro (TEB) instead of JFK, or Van Nuys (VNY) instead of LAX.
