PEX Tubing (Cross-linked Polyethylene)

Category: infrastructure

A flexible, plastic piping product used as the primary conduit for modern residential water supply lines.

PEX replaces traditional rigid copper piping networks. Because it is highly flexible, it can be snaked through wall cavities with minimal connection joints, significantly reducing potential leak points. It is highly resistant to scale buildup and freeze-burst failures.

Common Examples

  • We replumbed the entire bathroom structure using PEX tubing to accelerate the installation timeline and minimize joint friction.
  • PEX tubing cannot be exposed to direct sunlight long-term because UV radiation degrades the cross-linked polyethylene chains.
