The choice between traditional fan-and-heatsink (Air) or radiator-and-pump (Liquid) CPU cooling.

Air is the "dependable workhorse." Liquid is the "high-performance specialist." Liquid cooling allows for quieter operation and lower temperatures during extreme loads, but it adds the risk of pump failure or, in rare cases, leaks.

Common Examples

  • We opted for a 360mm AIO liquid cooler to manage the massive heat output of our flagship workstation processor.
  • While air cooling is easier to install and more reliable long-term, it often struggles to keep up with the top-tier overclocked CPUs.
