Reproducibility

Category: science

The ability to recreate the exact same model outcome using the same data, code, and configuration.

Reproducibility is the "audit standard." If you can’t generate the same model twice, you can’t trust it. Version-controlled code, fixed datasets, and documented hyperparameters are the requirements for a professional environment that actually functions in production.

Common Examples

  • We maintain strict model reproducibility by versioning our training sets and containerizing our model execution environments.
  • Without a focus on reproducibility, your team is simply creating "black box" experiments that can never be audited or reliably deployed.
