Toner (Gloss/Glaze)
Category: lifestyle
A translucent semi-permanent hair color applied to damp hair to neutralize unwanted undertones or deposit a reflective shine.
Toner is the "color corrector." When hair is bleached, it naturally exposes raw yellow or orange pigments. Applying an ash or violet-based toner shifts those brassy tones into a clean platinum, cool blonde, or rich brunette finish, lasting roughly 4–6 weeks.
Common Examples
- After lifting the hair to a pale yellow, the colorist applied a violet-based toner to achieve a clean silver-blonde shade.
- A clear hair gloss glaze seals the hair cuticle layer down tight, boosting reflective shine without shifting the underlying pigment cells.
