A specialized, translucent fabric mesh panel used in stage lighting to diffuse light patterns or conceal speaker arrays.

Scrim features a unique weave profile: when lit from the front, it looks like a solid opaque wall; when front lights are dropped and the back section is illuminated, the fabric becomes completely transparent, enabling dramatic reveal sequences on stage.

Common Examples

• The lighting director projected a deep amber wash onto the front scrim to hide the live band until the introductory video finished.
