Main Distribution Panel (MDP)

The central electrical panel that accepts primary utility power and partitions it out across secondary sub-panels and branch links.

The MDP contains the primary service disconnect main breaker. It houses the primary bus bars, neutral links, and main bonding jumper assemblies, serving as the master traffic command station for an entire building's electrical infrastructure framework.

Common Examples

• We positioned the 400-amp three-phase MDP inside the rear utility vault room to clean up the power feed lines.
• All sub-panels down the line branch outward from individual high-amperage breakers situated inside the primary MDP cabinet frame.
