Offset Bend

A mechanical conduit fabrication technique featuring two identical opposite angles used to transition a pipe path onto a parallel plane.

Electricians use offset bends to bypass structural obstacles—such as navigating an EMT pipe flat along a concrete wall and then shifting the line half an inch to smoothly slip into a surface-mounted junction box knockout hole without stress.
