The precision task of gathering exact physical dimensions of a space before drafting or ordering custom furniture.

"Measure twice, order once." A site measure includes not just wall lengths, but ceiling heights, door swing clearances, window sill depths, and the exact positioning of electrical outlets and plumbing stubs. Errors here result in custom furniture that won’t fit the intended room footprint.
