Fixed Dental Bridge

Category: infrastructure

A restorative dental prosthesis that replaces one or more missing teeth by anchoring to the adjacent natural teeth.

The two teeth on either side of the gap are prepared as "anchors" (abutments). A prosthetic tooth (pontic) is fused between them to complete the span. The entire unit is cemented as one piece, permanently filling the space and preventing shifting.

Common Examples

  • We opted for a three-unit fixed dental bridge to replace the missing premolar, avoiding the need for invasive implant surgery.
  • A fixed dental bridge provides a sturdy, permanent cosmetic solution for missing teeth, though it requires specialized flossing tools to clean.
