Early Action (EA)

Category: business

A non-binding early application track allowing students to receive admission choices ahead of the standard schedule.

Unlike Early Decision, Early Action does not bind the student to enroll upon acceptance. This track allows high-performing applicants to secure early acceptances by December while maintaining complete freedom to compare competing financial aid award letters until the national May 1 deadline.

Common Examples

  • By applying through the non-binding Early Action pool, she secured three university acceptances before the winter holiday break.
  • Restricted Early Action models prohibit candidates from applying early to any other private institution simultaneously.
