Pressure-Balanced Pressure Loop
Category: infrastructure
A geometric plumbing pipe layout that ensures uniform water pressure across multiple shower wall jets.
When installing multiple body spray heads in a luxury shower, piping them sequentially will cause the final head to have low pressure. Planners build a reverse-return pressure loop—a complete circular pipe ring—so water enters from both sides simultaneously, ensuring matching spray velocities.
Common Examples
- The mechanical layout routes the 3/4-inch supply line into a balanced pressure loop to feed the four adjustable wall body sprays.
- Without a proper circular pressure loop layout, the top body spray jet will merely trickle water while the bottom head delivers full force.
