Aft

The direction toward the rear or stern of the ship.
Aft describes the area near the stern (back) of the vessel. In cruise terminology, it is the primary directional reference for navigation between decks or cabins, as opposed to "forward" (toward the bow).
Common Examples
- Our stateroom is located in the aft section, offering a quieter atmosphere and quick access to the rear casual dining decks.
- Walking toward the aft allows you to enjoy the view of the ship’s wake from the public observation terraces.
